Share

Purchasing shares in a company buys you part ownership of that company. You're given the right to vote on who manages the company and receive a portion of company profits through the distribution of dividends.

Example: If a share price quote is $25, then that means one share is valued at $25.

Note: Shares are also referred to as stocks, equities and securities.

CFD

Is an abbreviation for "Contract for Difference". A CFD is a 'derivative' that is derived from the underlying value of the share price. A CFD’s allow you to go long (buy the CFD) or go short (sell the CFD).

CFD's give you leverage.

Example: Buying a CFD in XYZ provides you with an opportunity to purchase the shares at a variable rates such as 10 to 1 ratio instead of the full upfront share value cost i.e. paying $1,000 instead of $10,000.

Because CFDs are traded on margin, you must maintain the minimum margin level at all times.

Note: CFD’s are not recommended for novice traders.

Asset Summary:

ActivEX's Mount Isa Copper and Gold Project (total 1104 km2) is located in northwest Queensland, near the town of Cloncurry. ActivEX Limited holds 100% interest in 8 tenements (EPMs 15285, 17313, 17805, 18511, 18073, 17454, 18852, 18053) and 6 applications (EPMs 17648, 17652, 25192, 25194, 25454, 25455). ActivEX has a joint venture agreement with Carpentaria Exploration Limited covering EPM 14955, under which ActivEX can earn up to 75% interest.

Exploration Potential:

ActivEX's Mount Isa Copper and Gold Project is situated within the Eastern Succession of the Mount Isa Inlier, which is a highly prospective geological terrane containing numerous major deposits. These include Iron Oxide Copper Gold, skarn style Cu-Au, and Merlin-style Mo deposits.

Regional Geology:

The Mount Isa Copper and Gold project is located within the Proterozoic Mount Isa Inlier, which comprises variably metamorphosed metasediments, metavolcanics and intrusives. The Mount Isa Inlier is subdivided into the Eastern and Western Fold Belts, which unconformably overly the magmatic craton of the Kalkadoon-Leichhardt Block.

The Eastern Fold Belt stratigraphy has been subdivided from west to east into three tectonic zones: the highly deformed Mary Kathleen Zone, the less deformed Quamby-Malbon Zone, and the complex Cloncurry-Selwyn Zone (Figure 3). ActivEX's projects lie predominantly in the Quamby-Malbon Zone with minor overlap into the Cloncurry Selwyn Zone.

The stratigraphy of the Mount Isa Inlier can be broadly defined by three "cover sequences" that are bounded by regional scale unconformities (Foster & Austin 2008). Cover sequence 1 outcrops solely in the Kalkadoon-Leichardt Belt and cover sequences 2 and 3 outcrop in both the Eastern and Western Fold Belts (Foster & Austin 2008). Cover sequence 1 is largely comprised of pyroclastic volcanics (Foster & Austin 2008). Cover sequence 2 is rich in calc-silicate rocks with lesser volcanic rocks (Foster & Austin 2008). Cover sequence 3 is dominated by siliciclastic rocks, including some black shales and volcanic units are also present (Foster & Austin 2008). ActivEX's projects are hosted by Cover Sequence 2 units (Florence and Bulonga Projects) and Cover Sequence 3 units (Selwyn East and Cloncurry fault Projects). The Proterozoic rocks of the Mount Isa Inlier are bounded by the Georgina, Eromanga, and Carpentaria sedimentary basins, which onlap the Proterozoic rocks.

The Mount Isa Inlier has undergone a complex history of deformation and metamorphism, which has been widely debated and is poorly understood. The Isan Orogeny began at ca. 1600Ma and involved several deformation events, producing varying degrees of metamorphism. Three major ductile deformation events were described by Bell (1983, 1999), named D1, D2, and D3, based on work in the Western Fold Belt. D1 was interpreted to have produced E-W oriented folds and thrusts, D2 produced N-S folds and steeply dipping regional foliation, and the latest D3 resulted in folds and crenulations striking mainly NNW. Numerous workers have argued for and against this sequence, and proposed several variations, mostly involving additional deformation events.

Rubenach et al. (2008) have proposed a similar sequence for the Eastern Fold Belt, based on work mostly in the Cloncurry-Selwyn Zone. The earliest recognised foliation is sub-parallel with the bedding and was interpreted to be mainly extensional, with the event being named Dbp. D1 produced E-W folds with steep axial surfaces, best preserved in the area north of the Snake Creek Anticline. D2a produced N-S folds with mainly steep axial planes and the most intense foliation in the region (S2a). D2b resulted in small-scale folding with N-S axes, shallow axial plains, and top-to-the-west sense of shear. This event appears to have been very localised. The D3 event is recognised by almost all workers, and produced NNW-trending folds with steep axial surfaces, as well as crenulations and reactivation of S2a. The final recognised event, D4, resulted in NE-trending folds with steep axial surfaces, and further reactivation of S2a. Associated regional metamorphism varies from lower greenschist to upper amphibolite facies.

Various intrusive phases were emplaced during the Early to Middle Proterozoic, including the Williams and Naraku Batholiths, the Eastern Selwyn Range early granite suite, the Wonga Granite, and the Lunch Creek Gabbro. The earliest known tectonism to affect the Eastern Fold Belt was the Wonga extension event, occurring between 1750-1735 Ma (Holcombe et al., 1991; Pearson et al., 1992). This was accompanied by the intrusion of numerous granite plutons in the Mary Kathleen (Burstall, Wonga Suites) and Cloncurry-Selwyn Zones (Gin Creek Granite).

The Williams (Mt Angelay, Squirrel Hills, Mt Dore Yellow Waterhole Granite) and Naraku (Mt Margaret, Mavis, Malakoff granite) Batholiths intruded the Eastern Succession during the later stages of the Isan Orogeny, 1530-1500Ma (NWQMEPR 2011) and is believed to be related to significant copper mineralization in the Eastern Fold Belt (and is synchronous with the emplacement of the Mt Isa copper deposits). The Eastern Fold Belt has been affected by extensive metasomatism that is thought to be a product of widespread magmatic activity contributing fluids and heat with brittle faults acting as fluid conduits.

Barambah - Gold Project

Key Highlights:
  • Established target at the Barambah Main Vein with resource calculations underway.
  • Significant gold and silver intersections from previous drilling, including:
  • 2m @ 15.96 g/t Au and 1556 g/t Ag
  • 17.15m @ 4.98g/t Au and 118 g/t Ag
  • 25m @ 0.61 g/t Au and 208 g/t Ag
  • Additional epithermal targets at Penwhaupell and Aranbanga prospects, with limited drilling completed to date.
  • Wider region is underexplored and significant potential remains.
Asset Summary:

ActivEX's Barambah Gold Project consists of one 100% ActivEX owned tenement (EPM 18732), one tenement under joint venture where ActivEX has already earned 75% interest (EPM 14937) and part of a third tenement that is also 100% ActivEX owned (EPM 16265).

Exploration Potential:

The Barambah Gold Project is host to a number of gold and silver mineralised epithermal veins. Substantial drilling has been completed at the Barambah Main Vein and resource calculations are currently underway. Significant intersections include:

  • 2m @ 15.96 g/t Au and 1556 g/t Ag
  • 17.15m @ 4.98g/t Au and 118 g/t Ag
  • 25m @ 0.61 g/t Au and 208 g/t Ag

CSAMT profiling, indicates a favourable geological zone, 150 metres below current drilling may host significant mineralisation, marked by a horizon of conductivity. Repetitive vertical zones of mineralisation are well known in other deposits (e.g. Cracow and Pajingo) and could expand the deposit's resource potential by a number of orders of magnitude. The conductive zone is ActivEX Limited's highest priority exploration target.

Outcropping, epithermal-style veins has also been identified elsewhere in the project area, namely the Penwhaupell and Aranbanga prospects. Exploration at these prospects has been limited to rock chip sampling, geological mapping, and a small amount of drilling, thus significant potential remains.

Furthermore, the presence of three known, gold and silver veins within the project is a strong indication of the mineralisation potential of the system. The regional area remains under-explored, with very little work having been completed outside of the main prospects. Therefore, significant potential exists to locate additional mineralised veins.

Location and Access:

The Barambah Gold Project is located in south-east Queensland between the towns of Gayndah and Goomeri, 215 kilometres due north-west of Brisbane.

The project is situated on the Maryborough 1:250,000 sheet (SG5606) as well as the Gayndah (9246) 1:100,000 sheet and is centred on latitude 25º 45' 00"S, longitude 151° 46' 00"E.

The licence area is essentially freehold pastoral land used for cattle grazing.

The majority of the Barambah Gold Project area consists of cleared plains with timbered hills to the east. Access to all areas is good, with sealed roads and well established station tracks.

Historical Exploration Highlights:

There have been several phases of modern exploration over the Barambah Gold Project. A summary of the historical exploration highlights is presented below.

Barambah Main Vein:
  • The deposit was first discovered by Newmont in 1981. Rock chip sampling returned 8.8 g/t Au and 27 g/t Ag, however Newmont did not continue work on the prospect because their exploration was focused on porphyry Cu-Au.
  • Renison Goldfields Consolidated Ltd. (RGC) begun intensive local exploration in 1985. Encouraging rock chip results justified a mixed RC and diamond drill program which began in 1987, completing a total of 50 drill holes.
  • Union Mining began open cut mining in 1992 to 1993 extracting 25,000 t of ore at an average grade of 2.7 g/t Au and 10 g/t Ag, equating to a contained total of 2,115.6 ounces of Au and 7,809.4 ounces of Ag.
  • In 2005, Norton Gold Mine Pty Ltd calculated a non-JORC compliant underground, 20,000 t, Au-rich resource from historical data, grading at 5 g/t Au and 100 g/t Ag and a 144,000 t silver-dominant underground resource at a grade of 135 g/t Ag and minor Au.
Penwhaupell Project:
  • The prospect was discovered by Nedex in 1990 during follow-up mapping after stream sediment sampling. Nedex also completed rock chip sampling (up to 10.4 g/t Au and 147 g/t Ag), followed by drilling of one diamond and three percussion holes (up to 0.22 g/t Au and 59 g/t Ag).
  • No other significant work programs have been completed at the prospect.
Aranbanga Prospect:

Nedex located a second area of epithermal veining at the Aranbanga prospect and completed mapping, rock chip sampling and stream sediment sampling, which returned up to 3 g/t Au and 16 g/t Ag.

No drilling has been completed at this prospect.

Geological Setting Regional Geology:

The Barambah Gold Project is located within the Silurian to Triassic Northern New England Orogen (NNEO), adjacent to the Perry Fault zone, a major NW trending structure that separates large structural blocks such as the Coastal Block and the Good Night Blocks from the Gympie Block and is host to the Mt Rawdon deposit, Coalstoun prospect and White Horse prospect (Figure 3). The structural blocks have been intruded by Permian to Middle Triassic granodiorites, monzonites and granites, some of which formed large volcanoes, erupting large volumes of andesitic volcanic debris into the Esk Basin (formerly Esk Trough), a large extensional basin consisting of marine sediments and andesitic volcanic to volcaniclastic units of early Permian to early Triassic age. Later granitoids developed during caldera related volcanism during the late Triassic, blanketing much of the earlier lithologies with rhyolitic volcanics which now cap many of the hills in the project area.

Ravenswood - Gold Project

Highly prospective ground such as Ravenswood Gold Project has been targeted by ActivEX in the north Queensland region where large intrusive related gold deposits such as Charters Towers (7 million ounces), Mt Leyshon, Kidston, and Ravenswood (each +3 million ounces) and high grade epithermal gold deposits such as Vera Nancy (2.8 million ounces) and Mt Carlton (+1 million ounces) are well known.

The Ravenswood Gold Project consists of three tenements: Mt Leyshon, King Solomon and Percy Cornishman.

The project area contains a number of target styles, including intrusion/porphyry related vein/breccia gold, IOCG targets, Fort Knox style gold targets, and quartz vein hosted gold. There is a high crustal abundance of gold in the area, evidenced by numerous hard rock and alluvial gold occurrences.

Summary:
  • Mt Leyshon EPM 18424 granted 8th May 2012 and surrounds Mt Leyshon mining lease.
  • King Solomon EPM18637 granted 17th August 2012 and is adjacent to Welcome Breccia discovery (Resolute Mining Limited).
  • Cornishman EPM18426 is a competitive application.
  • Extensive data compilation of historical exploration results is in progress which will be followed by target generation and field follow-up (geological mapping and geochemical sampling).
Mt Leyshon Tenement:

EPM 18424 is located in the Charters Towers district of north-eastern Queensland, with the northern boundary of the EPM approximately 20 kilometres by road south-south-east of Charters Towers.

King Solomon Tenement:

Adjacent to this tenement (EPM 18637), a recent discovery of high grade gold has been made by Resolute Mining Limited at Welcome Breccia. Limited exploration has been carried out in the ActivEX application area, despite high grade gold being known at the King Solomon workings, where rock chip samples up to 77g/t Au have been found.

Cornishman Tenement:

This large area (EPM 18426) surrounding the Hadleigh Castle mine has had limited exploration in the last 10 years with mine operators concentrating on mill feed and production imperatives. The area is highly prospective for Ravenswood style and breccia pipe (Mt Leyshon) style.

Pentland - Gold Project

Highly prospective ground such as Pentland Gold Project has been targeted by ActivEX in the north Queensland region where large intrusive related gold deposits such as Charters Towers (7 million ounces), Mt Leyshon, Kidston, and Ravenswood (each +3 million ounces) and high grade epithermal gold deposits such as Vera Nancy (2.8 million ounces) and Mt Carlton (+1 million ounces) are well known.

The Pentland Gold Project consists of three Exploration Permits, EPMs 14332 Pentland, 15055 Oxley Creek and 15185 Norwood South. The project is located to the north and northwest of the township of Pentland, approximately 100 kilometres west of Charters Towers in north Queensland. The tenements were acquired with the aim of exploring for intrusion-related gold mineralisation and porphyry-related gold-copper-molybdenum mineralisation.

In 2012 exploration activities on the tenements involved a review of all data as field work was hampered by landowner access issues and the resulting inability to access field areas. Once access issues have been resolved field activities will initially involve geological mapping and geochemical sampling in the Nipple Breccia area.

Summary:
  • Pentland EPM 14332 granted 10th December 2004.

Table 1 - Significant Metal Deposits within Central Queensland

The Project includes two established targets, with drilling completed by previous explorers and initial reconnaissance drilling by ActivEX.

Significant drilling intersections from the Prairie Creek epithermal prospect include:

  • 52m @ 2.11g/t Au, including 6m @ 6.55g/t Au
  • 16m @ 1.35 g/t Au
  • 18m @ 1.75g/t Au
  • 8m @ 2.05 g/t Au
  • 13m @ 2.78 g/t Au

ActivEX has also completed extensive soil sampling, rock chip sampling, and geological mapping.

Exploration targeting concepts include:

  • Potential for epithermal mineralisation at the Prairie Creek prospect. This area contains significant intersections of gold in previous drilling, and has the potential to be extended along strike. A number of areas with anomalous gold-in-soils and partially outcropping epithermal veins remain untested by drilling.
  • Potential for porphyry or epithermal mineralisation associated with extensive areas of alteration at the Gossans West prospect. No ground geophysics has previously been completed at this prospect, which could be used to target future drilling.
  • Several other areas have anomalous stream and soil geochemistry and require follow up.
  • Tenement has been under-explored with very little focused exploration in the past.
