Share

Purchasing shares in a company buys you part ownership of that company. You're given the right to vote on who manages the company and receive a portion of company profits through the distribution of dividends.

Example: If a share price quote is $25, then that means one share is valued at $25.

Note: Shares are also referred to as stocks, equities and securities.

CFD

Is an abbreviation for "Contract for Difference". A CFD is a 'derivative' that is derived from the underlying value of the share price. A CFD’s allow you to go long (buy the CFD) or go short (sell the CFD).

CFD's give you leverage.

Example: Buying a CFD in XYZ provides you with an opportunity to purchase the shares at a variable rates such as 10 to 1 ratio instead of the full upfront share value cost i.e. paying $1,000 instead of $10,000.

Because CFDs are traded on margin, you must maintain the minimum margin level at all times.

Note: CFD’s are not recommended for novice traders.

General Overview

About Core Exploration

Core Exploration offers a strategically acquired investment opportunity in Australia’s newest exploration province in the NT as well as world-class mining terrains in SA.

Core has an active exploration program underway with the aim to create value for shareholders through making significant discoveries. Core Exploration's projects have been carefully acquired within some of the most prospective geological terrains for base metals and uranium in Australia.

The Company’s Albarta and Jervois Projects cover over 2,000km2 of the newly-recognised, highly prospective IOCG Aileron Province, north east of Alice Springs in the NT. Core’s tenements include a number of significant base and precious metal and uranium occurrences. The Company believes that the existing evidence of mineralisation and confirmed IOCG prospectivity by Geoscience Australia verifies the strategy that Core has pursued to build a strong position in this emerging terrain.

Core’s SA projects are located in geological regions which host world-class mining operations including Olympic Dam and the Beverley and Four-Mile uranium mines.

Core Exploration has an experienced and proven team of Directors and Management with excellent skill sets for driving value growth in the mining industry. They have worked together successfully as a team and also separately in a number of listed mining companies on the ASX and their exploration track record includes making economic discoveries that have developed into operating mines.

Projects

Finniss Lithium Project, NT

Core’s NT Lithium Project includes the Mount Finniss Tin Tantalum Mine – the largest historically producing tin and tantalum pegmatite mine in the NT, and a further 25 historic tin tantalum pegmatite mines in the lithium rich Bynoe pegmatite field.

Core’s Finniss Lithium Project encompasses a large landholding in the Bynoe Tin Tantalum-Pegmatite Field.

The Bynoe field is one of the most prospective areas for lithium in the NT and has many similarities to Greenbushes in WA, one of the world’s largest spodumene deposits.

As with Greenbushes, before economic lithium was recognised, Bynoe also has a 100 year history of tin and tantalum production.

Core’s project area covers over 200km2 and 25 historic pegmatite mines including the Bynoe pegmatite field and the Mount Finniss Tin Tantalum Mine – the largest historically producing tin and tantalum pegmatite mine in NT.

The strong endowment of tin and tantalum in pegmatites at the Mount Finniss Mine and surrounding area suggest excellent potential for lithium mineralisation.

The majority of the known deposits and associated pegmatites were discovered by prospectors in the early 1900’s or during an extensive exploration phase for tin and tantalum by Greenbushes Ltd in the 1980’s. Very little exploration has been undertaken since the work done by Greenbushes some 30 years ago.

The Bynoe region has substantial infrastructure advantages being close to sealed road, grid power, gas and rail infrastructure and within easy trucking distance to Darwin Port - Australia’s nearest port to Asia.

Anningie and Barrow Creek Pegmatite Fields, NT

Core has further expanded its dominant position in the NT tin tantalum pegmatite fields through applications for 2,500 sq km of additional lithium prospective tenements in the lithium-rich Anningie and Barrow Creek pegmatite fields near Mt Peake.

The applications significantly increase Core’s dominant position in the lithium rich pegmatite provinces of the Northern Territory, which includes the Mount Finniss Tin Tantalum Mines – the largest historically producing tin and tantalum pegmatite mine in the NT.

The major tin-tantalum pegmatite fields of the Northern Territory occur on the margin of the Pine Creek Orogen (e.g. Bynoe Field near Darwin) and the northern margin of the Arunta Region.

The Northern Arunta pegmatite province occurs in well-defined clusters in the Barrow Creek and Anningie pegmatite fields.

The lithium minerals spodumene, elbaite and lepidodite have been recorded in pegmatites from the Anningie Field.

Geoscientific research by the Northern Territory Geological Survey (“NTGS”) and others also highlight that the lithium contents of the Barrow Creek source granites and pegmatites are considerably higher than most other granites in the NT, and comparable to source granites in the highly prospective Pine Creek Pegmatite Province. However, no modern exploration has been conducted for lithium in these areas of tin and tantalum production from these pegmatites.

Jervois Domain, NT

The Company’s analysis of geophysics, geology and newly developing mineralising models has defined a large prospective zone at its Jervois Domain project in the Northern Territory. Core’s four tenements 100% owned surround KGL’s tenements and cover approximately 280 square kilometres in the highly prospective Jervois region 200km north east of Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

The Company is planning a major phase of exploration in a 20km zone that has similar structural and magnetic features to KGL Resources Ltd (ASX:KGL) nearby Jervois prospects.

Recent drilling by KGL Resources Ltd in the centre of the Jervois Block has reported several new high- grade discoveries and the recently announced 25Mt copper resource (combined JORC 2012 compliant Indicated and Inferred Resource of 25.3 Mt @ 1.1% Cu and 22g/t Ag (ASX:KGL 15/09/2014) has substantially upgraded the economic potential of the area which is located within Australia’s new exploration province in the NT.  Core’s adjacent EL 29581 is located only 500m west of KGL’s Bellbird drill intersection of 13m @ 5.75% Cu, 23.2g/t Ag, 0.32g/t Au from 20m (hole JOC090) announced by KGL (ASX 21/07/14).

The Company is planning a major phase of exploration at its Jervois Domain Project for 2015 and has utilised the high-powered VTEM Super Max AEM system to define the new drill targets within a large, 20km long prospective zone that has similar structural and magnetic features to KGL’s nearby copper resource at Jervois, both which are hosted in Bonya Schist geology.  (Figures 1-2).   The AEM survey is strengthening CXO’s exploration model in the Jervois region that considers the mineralised host stratigraphy is repeated under shallow cover on the eastern side of the Jervois Domain as illustrated in the solid geology interpretation, magnetics and electromagnetics. This interpreted repeated stratigraphy runs directly through Core’s tenements.

Albarta Project, NT

Core has built a strong, 100%-owned strategic holding - through joint venture, acquisition and new tenement applications - in Australia’s new exploration province in the NT. Cores tenure is focussed in the most significant zone of IOCG (Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold) prospectivity defined by Geoscience Australia and covers 2,000km² around the A1 IOCG prospectivity zone of the Aileron province in the Northern Territory, 100km NE of Alice Springs.

Core’s tenements cover a number of significant base and precious metal and uranium mineral occurrences. The Company believes that the existing evidence of mineralisation, along with recently confirmed IOCG alteration in the region and large tenement holding over a substantial strike length of regional structures, makes this exciting exploration project very attractive for investment.

Core’s new Albarta Project covers some 100km of strike length of interpreted prospective regional structures which are thought to control mineralisation.

The Company’s recognition and early move on Albarta leads growing industry and market recognition of this new, outcropping East Arunta terrain.

Initial exploration work and drilling has already identified high grade mineralisation at the Inkheart/Blueys Prospect.

Inkheart/Bluey's Prospect, Albarta NT

Very high grades of graded up to 4,065 g/t silver (=4kg/t) (Ag), 8% copper (Cu) and 25% lead (Pb) have been identified in surface rock-chip sampling at the Inkheart/Blueys Prospect within the Company’s Albarta Project in the Northern Territory.

Soils have also defined a sizeable silver footprint of 700m x 400m with a peak of 25,250ppb silver. Very high silver in soils has also been defined at Inkheart Prospect over a distance of 2,000m with a peak of 19,552ppb Ag. These very high values are spectacular when considering that 100ppb is commonly regarded as anomalous silver in soils.

Mapping at Inkheart/Blueys has identified a broad zone of pervasive stock-work veining associated with malachite and azurite (copper) and argentiferous galena (lead/silver) minerals at surface.

Core’s first discovered high grade silver, lead and zinc mineralisation at the Inkheart Silver Prospect, which is defined by a 2km long silver in soil anomaly to the north east of the Blueys Prospect .

The Inkheart Prospect had not been drill tested prior to this drill program.

Drillhole IKRC002 hit high grade silver lead and zinc mineralisation at 112m down hole with a 4m intercept @ 195g/t Ag, 5.24% Pb and 2.49% Zn from 111m including 1m @ 354g/t Ag, 11.13% Pb and 6.51% Zn. This higher grade mineralisation is within a broad lower grade halo of 36m @ 29g/t Ag from 90m down hole drilling in 2014 at Inkheart/Blueys has intersected broad zones of silver and lead mineralisation including high grades.

The mineralised zone at Inkheart containing wide and high-grade intersections has now been intercepted consistently for at least 500m along strike within the targeted Bitter Springs Formation.

The mineralised zones at Inkheart are open to the north east, at depth and potentially to the south west. Core believes there is potential for further mineralisation over a much larger area within the target Bitter Springs Formation geology. This reinforces the tenement wide and regional potential of the Bitter Springs Formation for the discovery of economic precious and base-metal deposits.

Yerelina Project, SA

Core Exploration’s newly granted Yerelina tenement, EL 5015, covers close to 1,000 square kilometres adjacent to the Company’s Fitton Project in northern South Australia

This newly granted tenure is also highly prospective for shallow base and precious metal mineralisation.

Four historical workings, operating in the late 19th and early 20th century, are recorded from within EL 5015. These old workings are located in an apparent east – west trend over 8 kilometres. The limited documented information about the historical workings indicates that high grades of silver (Ag) and lead (Pb) were mined. Core’s mapping and sampling around and along strike from these workings has confirmed silver, lead and zinc mineralisation.

Core’s analysis of modern satellite imagery and the Company’s recently completed detailed heli-borne magnetic and radiometric survey data has identified that these workings are hosted by a large scale system of repeated north/south regional structures over many kilometres.

Initial Investigations on EL 5015

Core has undertaken reconnaissance mapping and sampling within the new EL 5015. To date, the Company has visited three of the four historical workings and confirmed that they are associated with north – south striking iron rich gossaneous breccias that appear to have in filled fractures that cross cut the Adelaidean Tapley Hill Formation strata.

Core identified up to 10 historical shafts at the Great Gladstone workings that appear to be up to 30m deep. Great Gladstone is recorded to have produced high grade silver and lead. Recent field mapping has also identified surface expressions of secondary copper oxide (malachite, azurite). Primary sulphides in existing mullock heaps indicate primary mineralisation at depth. Sampling of the mullock heaps as well as from in situ iron rich gossan produced assay values up to 11.27 % combined lead (Pb) + zinc (Zn) and up to 203 g/t silver (Ag).

The Great Gladstone workings are aligned north – south over approximately 1km and have been dug into a semi continuous 0.5m to 2.5m wide iron rich brecciated gossan. Furthermore Core observed that the iron rich breccia is found to not only occur infilling north – south fractures, but also extend along the east – west bedding planes of the Tapley Hill Formation. This observation provides a mechanism for the mineralising fluid to have travelled and accumulated at depth, layer parallel to stratigraphy.

Initial investigations at the Emily workings identified two historical shafts 50 metres apart both dug into an, up to 2m wide, north – south striking iron matrix rich breccia filled fault. Samples from the Emily working assayed at up to 13.34% combined Pb + Zn.

The Big Hill workings are comprised of a single drive shaft into a significant iron rich breccia gossan. This gossan is up to 250m long, striking north – south and up to 20m wide pinching out at both the northern and southern ends. This is the most significant outcropping gossan identified by Core at this stage. Samples taken from the historic workings at Big Hill as well as from along the gossaneous outcrop assayed at up to 2.35% combined Pb + Zn with the majority of samples from the large gossan above 1% combined Pb + Zn.

Core completed a heli-magnetic survey over the historical mine areas on EL 5015 at the same time as the adjacent Fitton EL 4569 in an attempt to map the faults that have been identified as hosting the mineralised Pb + Zn + Ag mineralisation. Preliminary interpretations of the data indicate that there is a strong correlation between the magnetics and the known distribution of the faults from the reconnaissance mapping. This correlation will be used to develop further sampling targets in the area.

Roxby Downs Project, SA

The Roxby Downs (EL 4906) and Horse Well (EL 4816) tenement applications cover approximately 522km² of the Olympic Dam Copper-Gold-Uranium Province of the Gawler Craton. The tenements are located approximately 30km southwest of the world class Olympic Dam Cu – Au - U mine and within kilometres, and adjacent to, known IOCG(U) mineralisation at the Acropolis, Acropolis West and Aphrodite prospects.

The projects are located on the eastern margin of the Gawler Craton within the Olympic Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG) Province. The Olympic IOCG Province is host to the world class Olympic Dam deposit, Prominent Hill, and recently discovered Carrapateena Prospect.

A number of detailed gravity surveys were undertaken by previous explorers to determine potential targets for IOCGU mineralisation. Initial wide-spaced gravity surveys were completed across most of the tenements. Regions of interest were then covered with detailed gravity surveys to accurately define target for drill testing.

The tenements have a number of anomalies which have yet to be adequately drill tested.

The Acropolis West prospect defined by gravity extends into EL 4906, although at depths in excess of 800m and with little apparent associated magnetic anomalism. If economic mineralisation is located at the Aphrodite or Horse Well prospects it may extend into EL 4816, while more subtle anomalies, which may prove to be due to mineralisation, may merit drill testing in their own right.

Yorke Peninsula Project, SA

Core Exploration’s Yorke Peninsula Copper Project covers 243km² of the Olympic Copper-Gold-Uranium Province of the Gawler Craton. The Yorke Peninsula Project is located adjacent to the west of Rex Minerals (ASX:RXM) tenements on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia

The Project is considered highly prospective for the discovery of IOCGU’s similar to Hillside, Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill and Carrapateena; as well as shear zone hosted massive sulphide copper-gold deposits like those found in the Moonta area.

The discovery of the nearby Hillside Copper Project by Rex Minerals Ltd shows that the area remains highly prospective for large copper discoveries.

Regionally important structures are believed to control the location of IOCGU mineralisation within the region. The most obvious structure is the Pine Point Fault which runs in a north-south direction on the eastern side of the Yorke Peninsula. Importantly, a number of south-westerly faults splay off of this feature into the tenements held by The Company.

Core has completed detailed airborne magnetic and ground based gravity surveys over the tenement. Interpretation and modelling by the Company of this data have identified similar fault systems on the Yorke Peninsula Project to that controlling mineralisation at nearby Hillside Project 15km to the east. Within these fault systems are a number of semi-coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies consistent with the occurrence of concentrations of magnetite and hematite associated with IOCGU style mineralisation.

The coincidence of strongly anomalous copper in association with magnetite and hematite breccias in the region confirms the Company’s view of the highly prospective nature of the project area for iron oxide copper-gold-uranium deposits (IOCGU’s).

Numerous drill targets have been identified on semi-coincident gravity and magnetic targets within zones of structural control. Six targets have subjected to diamond drilling.

The drilling successfully identified the geological source of the targeted semi coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies and identified IOCG style alteration within the system. Minor copper sulphides (chalcopyrite) were identified in association with the alteration.

Fitton Project, SA

The Fitton Project comprises a number of exploration licences covering prospective Mt Painter and Eromanga Basin geology - well known for hosting large uranium deposits and mines including the currently operating Beverley, Beverly North and Four Mile uranium mines.

Core first discovered uranium at Fitton with the Company’s first drilling campaign on the project. The Company’s second RC drilling program hit thick and high grade uranium intercepts which have continued to extend uranium mineralisation.

Best intersections of high grade shallow uranium mineralisation at Core Exploration’s Fitton Project include 11m @ 1309 ppm U3O8 (across strike) and 60m @ 480 ppm U3O8 (down plunge).

Core’s exploration work and drilling at Fitton has now confirmed that:

  • Uranium mineralisation outcrops.
  • Uranium mineralisation contains both thick and high grade intersections.
  • Uranium mineralisation extends to at least 150m downhole depth.
  • The mineralised structure is over 1km long.
  • Exploration potential for repeated mineralised structures.

Core’s 100% owned Fitton Project is located in a proven world-class uranium mining region, 500 kilometres north of Adelaide in South Australia and is located within 25km of 3 operating uranium mines

  • Beverley Mine (46Mlb U3O8 Resource 7.7Mt @ 0.27% (21,000T U3O8)
  • Beverly North Mine (8.8Mlb U3O8 Resource 2.2Mt @ 0.18% (4,000T U3O8)
  • Four Mile Mine (71Mlb U3O8 Resource 9.8Mt @ 0.33% (32,000T U3O8)

The Fitton Project covers the north-west edge of the Mt Painter geology, a block that is highly prospective for both primary mineralisation. Mt Painter geology is rich in uraniferous Proterozoic granites which have acted as source lithologies for secondary palaeochannel uranium deposits.

Core’s tenements also cover substantial Eromanga Basin geology. The Eromanga Basin is proven to host secondary uranium mineralisation as demonstrated by the presence of the nearby and currently operating Beverley, Beverley North and Four Mile Uranium mines.

Uranium mineralisation at Scott Lee Prospect appears to be associated with sulphide rich portions of the doleritic schist close to the southern contact with the granite which suggests that portions of the schist have acted as a conduit and reductant host which has formed a chemical trap for uranium rich fluid likely to be sourced from the uranium rich granites of the Mt Painter Inlier.

Core’s discovery at Fitton opens up further exploration potential within the Project. Core plans to explore for further mineralisation along strike of the host shear structures, particularly at any redox boundaries including at the major Unconformity between the uranium rich granites of the Mt Painter and Mt Babbage inliers with the overlying Adelaidean sediments.
