Share

Purchasing shares in a company buys you part ownership of that company. You're given the right to vote on who manages the company and receive a portion of company profits through the distribution of dividends.

Example: If a share price quote is $25, then that means one share is valued at $25.

Note: Shares are also referred to as stocks, equities and securities.

CFD

Is an abbreviation for "Contract for Difference". A CFD is a 'derivative' that is derived from the underlying value of the share price. A CFD’s allow you to go long (buy the CFD) or go short (sell the CFD).

CFD's give you leverage.

Example: Buying a CFD in XYZ provides you with an opportunity to purchase the shares at a variable rates such as 10 to 1 ratio instead of the full upfront share value cost i.e. paying $1,000 instead of $10,000.

Because CFDs are traded on margin, you must maintain the minimum margin level at all times.

Note: CFD’s are not recommended for novice traders.

General Overview

About Lincoln Minerals

Lincoln Minerals Limited is an Australian minerals explorer, primarily focused on multi-deposit graphite and iron ore exploration and project development across South Australia's Eyre Peninsula but whose portfolio also includes quality copper-lead-zinc-silver, nickel-cobalt, uranium and gold projects in the same province. The Company's Eyre Peninsula tenement holdings are secure and close to established rail and heavy haulage road networks, shipping ports, baseload electricity supply and water services. The Company's primary Eyre Peninsula focus in 2014 includes enhancing the Company's graphite and iron ore resources; evaluating the potential to mine graphite on southern Eyre Peninsula; applying for a Mining Lease for Lincoln's flagship Gum Flat iron project, just 20 kilometres west of southern Eyre Peninsula's main hub, Port Lincoln; ongoing evaluation and proving up of iron ore targets at Eurilla and Nantuma; and copper-lead-zinc-silver, nickel-cobalt and gold exploration at Minbrie, Cockabidnie and near Tumby Bay.

Projects

Kookaburra Gully Graphite

Lincoln Minerals Limited (herin referred to as Lincoln, LML or the Company) is an Australian minerals explorer and developer, primarily focused on base metals, iron ore and graphite exploration and project development on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.

Lincoln's principal graphite projects include the Kookaburra Gully Project, the historic Koppio Graphite Mine and the Kookaburra Gully Extended, Pernella, Campoona Syncline and Gum Flat prospects, each of which are highly prospective graphite resources or prospects. In December 2013 Lincoln announced a maiden JORC Mineral Resource of 2.20 million tonnes (Mt) grading 15.1% total graphitic carbon (TGC) at its flagship Kookaburra Gully project. This is a global Top 10 resource.

Lincoln's Australian graphite projects are located on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia where graphite resources have historically been produced and which is Australia's premier world-class flake graphite province.

Projects include:

  • Kookaburra Gully (2.20 Mt @ 15.1% TGC with potential for 15-40 Mt in the immediate area);
  • Kookaburra Gully Extended Exploration Target;
  • Koppio Graphite Mine (historic mine);
  • Campoona Syncline (on central Eyre Peninsula); and
  • Gum Flat-Sleaford Mere.
  • Gum Flat Iron Ore/Graphite

    Iron Ore - EL 4643

(LML has exclusive rights to all minerals)

    Highlights
    • Total iron ore Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource 109Mt
    • Total iron ore Exploration Targets 250-750Mt
    • Heads of Agreement with Chinese Steel Mill for at least 50% iron ore production
    • Gum Flat is within 2 km of Uley Graphite mine and is very prospective for graphite with numerous graphite prospects and drillhole intersections
    Summary

Lincoln's Gum Flat Iron Ore Project is located on southern Eyre Peninsula which is a major world-class iron ore province extending from the Middleback Ranges to Port Lincoln.

Gum Flat EL 4643 contains a number of priority magnetic targets including Barns, Rifle Range and the Port Lincoln-Tulka suite. All are within 20km of Port Lincoln, an existing port capable of handling Panamax ships up to 15m draft.

More than 100 million tonnes of iron mineralisation has been identified in the Barns-Rifle Range area, most of it magnetite but with some hematite-goethite suitable for direct shipping. The magnetite requires processing into a high grade concentrate before it can be exported.

It is proposed to export DSO from the main wharf at Port Lincoln using a containerised system similar to that being used at Port Adelaide in South Australia albeit with covered containers. Alternatively, it could be shipped out of the proposed bulk commodity ports at either Port Spencer or Cape Hardy.

The Company is proposing a two-stage development option:

Stage 1: Mine and export up to 250,000 tonnes per annum DSO via Port Lincoln including upgrading 1.4 Mtpa lower grade (40-55% Fe) hematite-goethite-magnetite to DSO grade over a 4-5 year mine life.

Stage 2: Mine up to 10 Mtpa magnetite and process onsite to produce up to 2.5 Mtpa high grade concentrate for export via Port Lincoln or potentially Port Spencer or Cape Hardy, subject to defining additional resources and over a mine life in the order of 20 years.

Planning is currently underway for Stage 1 only.

Extending west from Port Lincoln with a railway line and major highway running through the area, EL 4643 is ideally located with respect to infrastructure and proximity to a major shipping port.

    Gum Flat Mineral Resource

Mineral Resource estimates for combined hematite-goethite and magnetite iron mineralisation at Gum Flat total 109 million tonnes (Mt). This includes a 12.3 Mt Indicated Mineral Resource for magnetite and a 1.4 Mt Indicated Mineral Resource for hematite-goethite at Gum Flat's Barns deposit.

The Barns magnetite Indicated Mineral Resource extends to at least 150 m below ground level, down dip of the Barns hematite-goethite Mineral Resource and currently planned quarry. The Mineral Resource assessment also confirmed the potential for high-grade magnetite blast furnace concentrates of around 66-68% Fe, with low silica and very low alumina and phosphorus.

In addition to these defined Mineral Resources, Gum Flat also contains iron ore Exploration Targets (**) in the Barns, Port Lincoln and Tulka areas totalling 250 million to 750 million tonnes at 20 35% Fe.

    Cockabidnie

Campoona Nickel Discovery and Campoona Syncline Graphite

Lincoln Minerals has discovered lateritic nickel mineralisation in the Campoona Syncline within the Company's Cockabidnie Project.

Mineralisation up to 1.1% Ni + 0.33% Co occurs at a depth of about 15-20m beneath shallow cover and overlies gabbroic amphibolite with up to 0.2% Ni in fresh bedrock. The aeromagnetic and calcrete anomalies associated with mineralisation extend over a strike length of 5km.

The Cockabidnie area has been the focus of base metal, gold and uranium exploration sporadically since the late 1960s. It has potential for unconformity uranium mineralisation associated with the base of the Mesoproterozoic Blue Range Beds graphite, base metal, gold and iron ore mineralisation associated with the BIF-marble-calcsilicate sequence extending south and southwest from the Stanley Mine and nickel-cobalt mineralisation associated with mafic volcanics or intrusives in the BIF sequence.

An airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey was flown for Lincoln Minerals in 2012 and this identified several conductors which may be associated with either graphite and/or base metal or nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Previous exploration centred on the Campoona Syncline where there are high background base metal geochemcial (up to 1% Zn and 0.9% Pb in outcrop samples) and Sirotem anomalies associated with BIFs. Previous drilling 5km ENE of Cockabidnie Corner intersected intervals up to 5m @ 1.14% Zn and 0.11% Pb while more recent drilling by Lincoln Minerals intersected 18m @ 0.8% Zn+Pb and 2.17g/t Ag including 2m @ 2.4% Zn+Pb and 3.34g/t Ag.

Previous exploration also identified scattered surface outcrop uranium anomalies up to 0.075% U and a 10 x background gas-in-soil radon anomaly 1.5km north-northeast of Cockabidnie Corner with coincident uranium in borehole water and hematite alteration in both the Mesoproterozoic cover and underlying graphitic schist basement.

Lincoln Minerals' drilling results include zones of elevated uranium up to 81ppm U below calcrete soil uranium anomalies. The elevated uranium occurs in basement rocks that were originally not far below a Mesoproterozoic unconformity analogous to Alligator River style uranium mineralisation in the Northern Territory.

Surface geochemical calcrete gold anomalies (>10ppb Au and up to 272ppb Au) occur southwest of Sugarloaf Hill Mine and in the Campoona Syncline. There are >100ppm Cu, >100ppm Zn and >50ppm Ni anomalies coincident with the calcrete gold anomalies.

The proposed exploration program for the Cockabidnie area will focus on the Sugarloaf Hill and Campoona Syncline graphite mineralisation and Campoona nickel discovery along with ongoing exploration of potential unconformity uranium mineralisation, gold and base metals particularly in the Campoona Syncline and southwest of Sugarloaf Hill.

    Bungalow-Minbrie

Eurilla Project (Base Metals and Vanadium)
    EL 4884

Lincoln has rights to all minerals and metals other than iron on EL 4884 shared with Centrex Metals Limited and their JV partner the Baogang Group.

Under the terms of its agreements with Centrex, Lincoln has access to all Centrex-Baougang drilling data from the Bungalow-Minbrie area on east-central Eyre Peninsula. Previous work at the Bungalow end of the project area has outlined significant vanadium associated with magnetite iron ore in a sub-vertical zone of ferrovanadium mineralisation that yields a magnetic concentrate (7% to 11.4% DTR) averaging 0.4% to 0.6% V2O5 with 59% to 65% Fe and 0.7% to 1.5% TiO2.

As announced in January 2012, drilling at Minbrie has identified significant copper-lead-zinc and silver mineralisation. The new discovery was made in diamond core drillhole, BUDD192 (676974mE, 6282951mN, MGA94 Zone 53, angled -60° toward 135°) within the interval 131.1m to 160.6m. Laboratory assay results over that 29.5m interval define an average grade of 0.76% Cu, 7.37% Pb, 1.88% Zn, 9.0g/t Ag and trace gold. Base metal grades range up to 4.8% Cu (145-146m), 47.1% Pb (141-142m), 5.5% Zn (133-134m) along with up to 36 g/t Ag (145-146m) and trace gold up to 0.1 g/t Au (156-157m and 158-159m).

In early 2013, a ground electromagnetic survey was conducted over the discovery drill hole. Four lines, each 1 km long and oriented in a NW-SE direction 200m apart, were surveyed across the discovery drillhole. There was a strong horizontal EM response at the base of the Q-T sediments due to the presence of highly saline groundwater along that interface. Unfortunately that masked any subtle EM responses within the underlying basement rock that might have been attributable to massive sulphide mineralisation.

While this work represents an early stage of base metal exploration on this prospect, Lincoln Minerals is very encouraged by these discoveries and is looking for a suitable joint venture partner to progress the project.

    Eurilla

    ELs 5013, 5022, 4093 and 4310

The Eurilla Project area is along strike from the Wilcherry Hill (IronClad Mining) magnetite (gold), Hercules iron ore, Menninnie Dam zinc-lead-silver (Terramin) and Paris silver (Investigator Resources) deposits to the northwest and has potential for iron ore, uranium, gold, manganese, silver and base metal mineralisation.

Previous work on the Eurilla Project has identified:

    • In situ hematite-magnetite Inferred Resource of 21.7 Mt @ 33.3% Fe
    • Uranium up to 0.05%-0.07% U with up to 0.1% Pb, 0.7% Zn & 0.5% Cu in a 5 hectare zone open to north and south along strike
    • Manganese mineralisation grading up to 66% MnO with associated copper, cobalt and silver
    • Multiple areas of anomalous Ag, Au, Cu, Zn and U, with four prospects (Skaro, Mondas, Gallifrey and Sonar Prospects) identified as being prospective for epithermal style mineralisation

    - Coherent soil Ag values in excess of 50 parts per billion (ppb) and peak values of 81 to 120 ppb, similar to soil geochemical anomalies around the Paris silver discovery and satellite prospects.

    - Outcropping mineralisation (up to 2.44ppm Ag, 14ppb Au and 2.42% Pb) in crustiform, colloform epithermal quartz veins can be traced over 150m and can be extrapolated into the Skaro prospect.

    - Infill soil-sampling further defined and thus confirmed the three precious metal ± base metal anomalies.

The regional and infill soil sampling programs identified multiple areas of anomalous Ag, Au, Cu, Zn and U, within the four prospects (Skaro, Mondas, Gallifrey and Sonar Prospects). The four prospects are considered prospective for epithermal Paris (Investigator Resources Limited) and Parkinson Dam (Tasman Resources Limited) style mineralisation. The newly interpreted epithermal field results include a number of discrete and coherent silver (Ag), gold (Au), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn) and uranium (U) geochemical anomalies. Lincoln Minerals is planning a drilling program to target the infill soil sampling anomalies around the various northern Eyre Peninsula precious and base metals prospects.

The Uno manganese prospect is a 650m long, medium to high-grade (up to 51% Mn) manganese-iron breccia system discovered by Lincoln Minerals in 2011. Soil sampling around the Uno prospect demonstrates the precious and base metals potential with samples returning anomalous Ag, Co, and Cu results.

    Nantuma

In late 2011, Lincoln Minerals expanded its iron ore footprint on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula with the granting of a new exploration licence, EL 4815.

Nantuma is immediately adjacent Iron Road Limited's 3.7 billion tonne iron ore deposits and adds to Lincoln's strong portfolio of near mining and advanced iron ore deposits and tenements throughout the Peninsula. The aeromagnetic anomalies that define Iron Road's iron ore resources continue west onto EL 4815 and Lincoln Minerals has defined Exploration Targets(**) for iron ore totalling 0.7 billion to 1.8 billion tonnes at 14-20% Fe within relatively coarse-grained magnetite gneiss of possible Archaean age. Nantuma straddles the existing rail line to Warramboo.

More importantly, LML welcomes the granting of Major Development status by the South Australian Minister of Planning, Deputy Premier John Rau, to the infrastructure component of Iron Road Limited's Central Eyre Iron Project. The proposed 150km infrastructure corridor will include a standard gauge rail line and power supply connecting Warramboo to a proposed deep water port at Cape Hardy that will have 10 million tonne extra capacity available for third party users.

While Iron Road's Murphy South and Boo Loo deposits are relatively low grade at an average grade of 16.2% Fe, Iron Road has demonstrated through prefeasibility test work that a high quality concentrate grading 67% iron may be produced using a coarse grind size of -106¼m. This is suitable for direct feed to a sintering plant.

Nantuma exploration target estimates have been generated from interpretation of regional aeromagnetic data extracted from the South Australian State magnetic data available from DMITRE's SARIG website.

Based on these data sets, the strike length of moderate to high intensity magnetic anomalies that can be attributed to magnetite gneiss is greater than 25km but, of that, only 13.5km has been included in Priority 1 exploration target estimates. No detailed magnetic modeling has been undertaken on individual magnetic anomalies but a conceptual dip of 700, apparent thicknesses in the range from 60m to 150m, and a 50m depth of cover were used to determine exploration targets. Mineralisation was projected to 300m below ground level and a density of 3.1 gm/cc was used for magnetite gneiss.

Based on these parameters, the total Exploration Target (**) estimate for Priority 1 aeromagnetic anomalies is 700 million tonnes to 1,820 million tonnes of magnetite gneiss at a potential average grade of 14% to 20% Fe.

    Kimba Gap (Stony Hill)

The Stony Hill Project is located on the western side of the Middleback Ranges within the Middleback Subdomain and contains scattered BIF outcrops surrounded by Lincoln Complex granite gneiss. Exposure of Hutchison Group rocks is poor.

BIFs are associated with other Hutchison Group units including the Katunga Dolomite, calcsilicate gneisses similar to Menninnie Dam and a pyritic sulphide-rich iron formation at the base of the Lower Middleback BIF sequence in the Middleback Ranges. There is potential for gold and/or base metals within these units but, to date, there has been little recorded gold or base metal exploration within these tenements.

A detailed low-level combined aeromagnetic and radiometric survey was flown in early 2007 and identified significant radiometric uranium-only anomalies in the Kimba Gap area on the western edge of local salt pans. These anomalies will form the focus of early exploration in this project area.

The Stony Hill project is located in northern Eyre Peninsula, immediately west of the Middleback Ranges within the Middleback Subdomain. It contains scattered banded iron formation (BIF), marble and calcsilicate gneiss similar to the Menninnie Dam lead-zinc-silver deposit surrounded by Lincoln Complex granite gneiss. BIF, marble and gneiss are overlain by extensive sand and sandy clay with local playa lakes.

Granite gneiss in the region is locally uraniferous with numerous mylonitic shear zones similar to southern Eyre Peninsula. There is potential for uranium mineralisation within the granite gneiss, particularly within shear zones, and in palaeodrainage channels that drain from the gneisses.

A low-level (50m above ground level), close-spaced (100m) aerial magnetic and radiometric survey was completed over the Stony Hill project area by UTS Geophysics in late February 2007. Detailed processing and enhancement of the aeromagnetic and radiometric data has identified several uranium and uranium/thorium anomalies, the best being on the margins of salt lakes west of Kimba Gap.

Reconnaissance field checking with a hand-held spectrometer around the margins of one of the lakes with high U/Th ratios located two significant zones of uranium anomalism that are interpreted to represent the points where palaeodrainage channels enter the lake.

Follow-up surface sampling, geophysical surveys and RAB or auger drilling will be undertaken over the Kimba Gap target.
