CFD's give you leverage.

Example: Buying a CFD in XYZ provides you with an opportunity to purchase the shares at a variable rates such as 10 to 1 ratio instead of the full upfront share value cost i.e. paying $1,000 instead of $10,000.

Because CFDs are traded on margin, you must maintain the minimum margin level at all times.

General Overview

About Macquarie Bank Limited

Macquarie Group is a global financial services provider with offices in 28 countries.

Macquarie Bank Limited's breadth of expertise covers advisory and capital markets, trading and hedging, funds management, asset finance, financing, research and retail financial services. The diversity of their operations, combined with a strong capital position and robust risk management framework, has contributed to their 45-year record of unbroken profitability.

The global symbol of Macquarie Group, the holey dollar was Australia's first official currency and earliest example of financial innovation.

In 1813, Australia's most successful early leader, Governor Lachlan Macquarie, addressed a severe currency shortage by importing 40,000 Spanish silver dollars and punching a hole through the centre of them to create two unique coins.

The currency stimulated the economy while retaining its intrinsic value, with the two new coins – the holey dollar and the dump – worth 25 per cent more than the original. Two centuries later, Australia has evolved into one of the world's major financial centres.

Adopting the holey dollar as its symbol, along with the name of its creator, Macquarie Group embodies its pursuit of practical approaches with profitable outcomes.

More than two hundred years since its creation, the holey dollar remains a relevant symbol of financial innovation and, within the Macquarie business, inspires their best efforts to deliver new ideas and products for theirclients.

Approach

Macquarie Bank Limited's purpose is to realise opportunity for the benefit of their clients, their shareholders and their people.

They are in business to be profitable, but it is the way they do business that defines them.

Their approach is based on three long-held principles:

Opportunity

Macquarie Bank Limited seek to identify opportunity and realise it for their clients, community, shareholders and their people.

They start with real knowledge and skill. They encourage innovation, ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit.

They support their people to achieve and succeed. Their success is built on this.

They value the opportunity to be part of the Macquarie team. They realise opportunity, respecting different ways of thinking and the contribution of others

Accountability

With opportunity, comes accountability.

Macquarie Bank are accountable for all their actions, to their clients, their community, their shareholders and each other. They never compromise their standards.

Macquarie Bank take responsibility for their actions and everything they say and do is on record. They analyse and manage risk, and they make decisions they are proud of.

Integrity

Macquarie Bank always act honestly and fairly. They honour their promises.

They earn the trust of their clients, colleagues, community and shareholders through the quality of their work and their high ethical standards.

Macquarie Bank have the courage to speak up when they make a mistake or see something that doesn't seem right.
