Metallum Limited (MNE)

Metallum Limited (ASX: MNE) is an ASX listed, Australian based exploration company established to explore, evaluate and acquire commercially significant resource projects in Australia and overseas.
The Company listed on the ASX on 1 July 2011 as Mining Group Limited. The Company then changed its name to Metallum Limited on 16 June 2014.
Metallum seeks to increase shareholder wealth primarily by the exploration of the prospective El Roble Copper Project in Chile, which the company has signed an exclusive option to acquire, and by the identification and evaluation of potential new mineral projects and opportunities in Australia and overseas suitable for acquisition and development. Metallum also seeks to develop their Philippines project, Comval Copper Project, and Australian based projects including Boorara and Teutonic.
Metallum has a strong Board and management team who collectively have considerable technical, commercial and corporate experience in the resources sector.
El Roble Copper Project
Metallum’s El Roble Copper Project is located approximately 25 kilometres east of the port city of Caldera, within Region III of Chile. The project is ideally located close to the coast in the vicinity of an operating port, within 80 kilometres of Copiapo, a major regional mining centre, and within 90 kilometres of three copper toll treatment facilities. The El Roble Copper Project consists of more than 7,800 hectares of granted concessions and applications covering a strike extensive, IOCG associated copper/gold vein system. Historic production within the project area during the latter half of the 19th century is reportedly between 500,000 and 1,000,000 tonnes of copper-bearing ore at a cut-off grade of 9% copper.
Comval Copper Gold Project
In January 2012 Metallum acquired 80% ownership of the Comval Copper Gold project from Canadian listed Cadan Resources. Total consideration paid to Cadan to date is $3 million cash and 2.6 million shares. Cadan will be free carried until agreed minimum expenditure commitments are met on the Project.
The Comval Project is located in the established copper and gold producing region of the Compostela Valley on the Philippine island of Mindanao. A number of major copper and gold deposits occur within the region and the Project is prospective for copper and gold deposits associated with porphyry systems. Comval is located close to a number of major deposits such as Co-O (Medusa) (2.5 million oz. Au) and King-king (St Augustine) (5 billion lb Cu, 10.3 million oz. Au). Dilwalwal (Philippines Mining Development Corp) (10.2Mt @ 9.6g/t) is located just 15km to the north on the same structure.
The Teutonic Project consists of one granted Exploration Licence, numbered E37/1037, located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The Teutonic Project is prospective for gold and base metals.
The Company has entered into a Farm In and Joint Venture Agreement with the registered holder of the Project, pursuant to which it may earn an initial 70% interest in the tenement on meeting certain conditions.
