Shophouses in Gladesville

MTDThis project capitalises on the potential of a site consisting of eight shops in Gladesville. The acquisition enhances Metroland's rental income, as well as offering a long term opportunity to develop the site as a combined residential and commercial venture.

Future plans cover the demolition of the existing buildings and developing an exciting residential and commercial environment, which will lead a revival of the local area. Metroland has commenced negotiations with the adjoining church to explore the possibility of a joint development.

Bay Plaza, Neutral Bay

Bay Plaza is an 1800 sq m two storey retail building in Sydney's exclusive Neutral Bay, with street frontage to Military Road and Rangers Road and including onsite parking for 24 cars.

The Plaza is fully leased to both medium and long term tenants. The potential for developing the site is being realised, as Metroland has begun to acquire and amalgamate land behind Bay Plaza, to capitalise on its position and raise its profile. Plans to develop a multipurpose site of residential and commercial spaces are currently being considered. The purchase of 4 Rangers Road, adjoining to Bay Plaza, was completed in 2003, with the Council approving the re-zoning application. Plans for the combined 2,400 sq m site have been completed and submitted to council.

Wentworthville Mall

Wentworthville Mall is a bustling and successful neighbourhood shopping centre that has positioned itself as a strong trading retail complex, serving the Wentworthville and surrounding local communities.

Metroland is exploring the possibility of extending the retail component, as well as adding residential dwellings.

252 Sussex Street, Sydney

Situated in the heart of Sydney's elite business district and neighbouring prestigious Darling Park, 252 Sussex Street is now one of Sydney's premier serviced apartment facilities.

Burwood Road

MTDAfter acquiring this site in 1996, Metroland made an area-zoning application to accommodate a combined residential and commercial project, and immediately increased the value of the land with the inclusion of the proposed development plan.

The land and development proposal were sold in 1997 to another developer who completed the development. This deal is a great example of Metroland's ability to plan and seize business opportunities at any stage of the development and investment process.

King Road, Five Dock

This site was bought as a potential redevelopment project, merging residential and commercial interests.

The land has been re-zoned from industrial to residential, allowing for the realisation of an ambitious venture. The plans for the site combine 58 apartments, townhouses and commercial spaces in a multilevel building strategically located near Kings Bay. The site and redevelopment plans have been sold to another developer, again highlighting Metroland's business foresight.
