Step 2
Select the investment product you wish to purchase

Purchasing shares in a company buys you part ownership of that company. You're given the right to vote on who manages the company and receive a portion of company profits through the distribution of dividends.

Example: If a share price quote is $25, then that means one share is valued at $25.

Note: Shares are also referred to as stocks, equities and securities.

Is an abbreviation for "Contract for Difference". A CFD is a 'derivative' that is derived from the underlying value of the share price. A CFD’s allow you to go long (buy the CFD) or go short (sell the CFD).

CFD's give you leverage.

Example: Buying a CFD in XYZ provides you with an opportunity to purchase the shares at a variable rates such as 10 to 1 ratio instead of the full upfront share value cost i.e. paying $1,000 instead of $10,000.

Because CFDs are traded on margin, you must maintain the minimum margin level at all times.

Note: CFD’s are not recommended for novice traders.

General Overview

About MaxiTRANS Industries

MaxiTRANS is Australia’s largest supplier of road transport trailing solutions.

The Company’s operations consist of a complementary mix of activities centered on the broad needs of road transport operators. They include manufacture of leading trailer brands, supply and distribution of parts, provision of service and repair support, manufacture of urethane foam and body panels and the sales and finance of new and used trailing equipment.

In 1998 Maxi-CUBE, a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 1994, purchased Freighter Industries to create a group that was subsequently renamed MaxiTRANS. The acquisition united two prominent transport trailer brands – Freighter (founded in 1946) and Maxi-CUBE (founded in 1972) – that had pioneered their sectors of the Australian road transport industry. MaxiTRANS has since acquired 4 other leading trailer brands (Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, AZMEB and Peki), along with the Colrain and QDS parts businesses.

In 1996, prior to the forming of MaxiTRANS, Maxi-CUBE established a Chinese joint venture operation with THT, a major Chinese transport equipment manufacturer, to produce insulated fibreglass wall panels. The joint venture was named MTC (Yangzhou Maxi-CUBE Tong Composites Co. Ltd). The joint venture experienced significant growth in sales and profitability before MaxiTRANS acquired the remaining 50% ownership in 2011, subsequently selling 20% to the MTC management.

MaxiTRANS has made significant capital investments in its original and acquired businesses, including $18M invested in its Ballarat facility to improve efficiency, safety and quality, which transformed the factory into a modern production line operation. Further investments have been made including new facilities in Richlands (Queensland) and Auckland (New Zealand), as well as an all-new manufacturing plant for MTC (China), with capacity to increase by around 300% to meet domestic demand.

MaxiTRANS also has a strong focus on the development and expansion of its truck and trailer parts businesses. This is reflected in its acquisition of Colrain (2006), a large Australian parts retailer and wholesaler and Queensland Diesel Spares Pty Ltd (2012), a major distributor of parts in Queensland and also a significant supplier to Central Queensland’s mining operations. These two businesses joined in May 2013 to become MaxiPARTS.

MaxiTRANS’ key capability is to listen to its customers, to understand their transport needs and design and build suitable road transport equipment to meet or exceed those needs. With its breadth of product range, unrivalled engineering experience and manufacturing capabilities, MaxiTRANS can provide suitable equipment for most road transport operations.

Other major capabilities include:

Engineering Design: Engineered to achieve durable, high capacity, high payload trailing transport equipment. This provides MaxiTRANS customers with efficient equipment usage, greater payload and potentially higher profits.

Design and Manufacture of Specialty Trailers: Designs that meet the unique performance requirements of customers. MaxiTRANS has the engineering capability to create specialised designs or to modify standard designs to suit special customer needs and logistics requirements.

Accident Repair and Servicing: All styles of trailers. Company-owned MaxiTRANS locations in Melbourne (Dandenong and Derrimut), Sydney (Smeaton Grange) and Adelaide (Wingfield) specialise in servicing of all kinds of semi-trailers, along with the repair of all degrees of accident damage, including quality refurbishing and refinishing. This includes major repair work of trailer, tipper or van rollovers. MaxiTRANS’ location in Brisbane (Richlands) can also assist in the service and repair of tipper trailers, while MaxiTRANS New Zealand (Takanini, Auckland) has expertise in service and repair of Freighter and Maxi-CUBE type trailers. Finally, MaxiTRANS’ wider network of dealers and authorised service agents ensures that assistance is always nearby for any brand of MaxiTRANS-manufactured trailer.

Urethane Foam and Panel Manufacture: MaxiTRANS is the only trailer manufacturer to make its own urethane insulating foam to the appropriate gauges for optimum thermal insulation and maximum load capacity. MaxiTRANS also manufactures fully fabricated FRP/foam sandwich panels for use in the manufacture of vans and for sale to vehicle body builders. MaxiTRANS has its principal foam and panel manufacturing facility in Hallam (Melbourne). Additionally, MaxiTRANS has operated a JV panel and foam plant (MTC) in China since 1996. In late 2013, MaxiTRANS moved MTC production to an all new manufacturing facility in Yangzhou, China. The new facility houses state of the art equipment and has treble the capacity potential of the old plant.

Second Hand Unit Sales: MaxiTRANS operates a large second hand trailer business via its dealerships in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, offering its customers competitive trade values – from single units through to complete fleets.

Parts Sales: Parts, including full panels and body components for major repair work, are available for the complete range of MaxiTRANS trailer brands through the national dealer network, as well as MaxiPARTS retail stores around the country. MaxiPARTS is a leading wholesaler and retailer of genuine parts and general service parts for trailers and trucks of all types. The Freighter range includes curtain sided trailers, flat top semis, skeletal trailers (for container cartage) and a range of variations on these basic model types.

And every one is backed by a Two Year Warranty. Two Year Warranty.

Peki’s products are to be found in many areas of transport operations from general freight through to haulage of live birds, frozen foods, meat, vegetables and fruit.

Peki is small enough to listen carefully to the needs of the customer, but large enough to be a supplier to major fleets. On the road, Peki units are easily identifiable by their high quality finish and attention to detail. All models are designed and manufactured at MaxiTRANS’ Dandenong, Victoria facility.

The current Peki business (Peki Pty Ltd) was established in 2005 by MaxiTRANS after it acquired selected assets of the former Peki Transport Equipment Ltd.

The Business began manufacturing heavy road transport and mining equipment in 1975, producing door side tippers for the Australian market. Believing that side tipper technology could be improved, AZMEB invested heavily in research and development, creating numerous new products.
